The Great Durnford Estate launched a pub, restaurant and hotel, The Great Bustard, on the the estate in Autumn 2024, and DURNFORD was born. What began as a small undertaking, the idea of creating organic toiletries for The Great Bustard rooms, alongside expanding the production of items for The Great Bustard Farm Shop that were already made on the Great Durnford Estate, evolved into DURNFORD, a face, body, home and food company. Premium products with organic, natural and local at the heart, Durnford products are developed by the Great Durnford Estate team using ingredients from the kitchen garden, or sourced locally with a focus on quality.

FROM THE KITCHEN GARDEN With Jams, chutneys and pickles made at home, we’ve expanded the production for the Farm Shop, with taste tests along the way with The Great Bustard Chefs. Our favourite last Summer, Strawberry & Champagne Jam, sold out, but will soon be back on the shelves alongside Blackberry, Onion and Chilli Jams and a new addition, Spiced Plum Jam. Chutneys and pickles for every occasion (and cheese!) are also coming back too - Tomato Chutney, Red Onion Chutney, Piccalilli, Beetroot Pickle and Dill & Cucumber pickle.

KEEPING YOUR SPIRITS UP Our Raspberry Vodka flew off the shelves last year, so we’re producing more for the Farm Shop in Summer 2025. We’re also making Chilli Vodka, Plum & Thyme Rum, Elderflower Vodka and Magnolia Vodka . And later in the year Sloe & Vanilla Gin. PURE INDULGENCE Our Body and Face products, with our signature Durnford fragrance of Lemon, Rosemary and Peppermint, are inspired by our kitchen garden. They are made with organic ingredients, free of sulphates, parabens and sodium chloride, artificial colours or fragrances. The products are vegan and free from nuts and include oils, balms, salves, exfoliator and toiletries. Indulge in some rejuvenating face balm, perfect for recovery after windy Wiltshire (or anywhere!) days.

PREMIUM PRODUCTS CREATED WITH A RANGE OF ARTISTS Our home products include an ‘Everyday’ range of candle and diffuser. We also have an ‘Artisan’ range, with glass that is handmade, and mouth-blown so no two vessels are alike. We work with a family-run workshop in Lviv, Western Ukraine, where the ancient craft has been passed down many generations making it a centre of renown for glass-blowing the world over. Our diffusers and candles radiate our blend of the grounding scent of rosemary, the positive, uplifting scent of lemon, and the refreshing, cooling effect of peppermint, designed to reset body and mind.
